I had the most amazing time at Coachella. This was my first time attending the Coachella music and arts festival. People traveled as far as New York to take part in this 3 day festival to listen to music from all different genres. I had to say this is the most fun I’ve had, and can’t wait to go again next year!
Around the holidays there is an abundance of events and gatherings (I attended four last Saturday). Most of the parties that I have attended have been hosted at someone’s home. I love the idea of having a get together at a house around the holidays. It feels much more personal and easier to stay warm and cozy in the colder weather. I noticed that my wardrobe didn’t allow for these stay at home holiday events. My closet either consisted of party dresses or very casual running errand outfits. Rebecca Minkoff’s sample sale was major! I scored tons of amazing items at a discounted price (especially excited about the items that were sold out in stores). I was pleasantly surprised that Rebecca Minkoff Tweeted and posted my photo on Instagram from the sale. This is my first mention by one of my favorite designers. November has flown by and we are quickly approaching holiday season. This weekend is going to full and busy, and that’s exactly how I like it. I’ll be attending a baby shower, a birthday, and “Get in the Christmas Spirit” party. I can’t wait to watch old movies and stay in with friends if the weather continues to be rainy. This fall my favorite way to spice up an outfit is with shoes. There are so many amazing trends that can change your outfit from being ordinary to unique. For 2012 we’ve seen a variety of buckles, booties, color blocking, and prints. I’d have to say I have a soft spot for ankle strap pumps!

On Sunday my sisters and I hosted a birthday brunch for my mom at Orange Hill Restaurant in Orange County. It was a milestone birthday, and we wanted to make it special since she is always doing so much for us. We invited 12 of her closest friends and made it a “ladies only” event, and ate and drank champagne for most of the day. The restaurant had an amazing view and patio overlooking all of Orange County. It was a success!
