A Very Merry Unbirthday

Over the weekend I had a very merry unbirthday party. My sisters hosted the event on Saturday night with giant clocks, tea cups, playing card napkins, and concoctions that will make you taller or smaller. I loved this theme! It was very playful and brought out my inner child.20130107-092455.jpg

Macaroons…..The New Cupcake

Over the weekend my family gathered for Sunday lunch. I decided to make dessert, and I was pleasantly surprised how easy it is to make Coconut Macaroons. They were a hit! I love macaroons and as of recently the French Macaroon has been becoming a trend and parties and events! Could they be replacing the cupcake? I hope so!

Egyptian Henna Bridal Shower

Last Friday we celebrated my cousin’s upcoming wedding by throwing her a traditional Egyptian Henna bridal shower. All the women from our family attended the shower, and we supplied egyptian costumes for our guests to wear. The henna tattoo artist I hired was the biggest hit of the night! She did an amazing job with all the tattoos our guests requested. The backyard was decorated to fit the Arabian Nights theme with draped fabric and glass lanterns. I designed the cake and cupcakes to match at Crème De La Crème Bakery. The party was a success! We had so much fun eating, drinking, and belly dancing!
