I had the most amazing time at Coachella. This was my first time attending the Coachella music and arts festival. People traveled as far as New York to take part in this 3 day festival to listen to music from all different genres. I had to say this is the most fun I’ve had, and can’t wait to go again next year!
March has just begun and Spring is around the corner. I love that the weather is warming up, and that the time will be changing soon allowing us to enjoy our days a little bit longer. Spring time always means wedding season is quickly approaching. I plan to spend my weekend relaxing with friends and shopping for a couple of dresses for my dear friend’s wedding.
1. Favorite Dress: Addison “Thompson Peplum” Dress
4. Favorite Office Accessories: BookMarc by Marc Jacobs
It’s been a crazy couple of weeks! I started and new job and moved to a new city. I’ve settled in and am hoping things slow down a bit. Last night while unpacking the remainder of my apartment I was skimming through my Pintrest and was over the moon when I saw that DVF would be collaborating with Roxy! Just in time for spring DVF will launch their classic prints with Roxy’s surfer girl style. All items in the collection will be less than $100.00 (available to shop March 7th).
This week I explored a ton of new places is Los Angeles. Monday night I had dinner at Rivabella, on Wednesday I went out for happy hour at Vinoteca Farfalla, and on Thursday I attended the Topshop opening at The Grove. I love going to new places, or trying new things, and Los Angeles never disappoints.
Coming to Sephora Fall 2013
4. Favorite Sunglasses: 3.1 Phillip Lim Newman Aviators (On sale here)
Dining out at new a restaurant is one of my favorite things to do. The entire experience from dressing up for a fancy dinner, and ordering drinks and several courses while catching up with friends is entertaining. A few nights ago, I went with my cousin to Rivabella, a new Italian inspired restaurant in West Hollywood by Chef Gino Angelini. The atmosphere and décor of the restaurant was exceptional! The theme of the restaurant was that of a Tuscany farmhouse, very intimate and dark with open space and seating. I ordered an amazing drink called Milano Mule while we waited for our table and we spent most of our night people watching.
Shirt: Forever21/ Pants: Zara
I ordered the Lasagne Nonna Elvira with Layers of Spinach Pasta, Meat Sauce, and Bechamel
I could hardly wait for the Parabal Gurung for Target Collaboration. I was able to access the sale online at 1am PST, and started my online shopping spree. Right off the bat the item I had been lusting over (the pull over sweater) was sold out in my size. I bought a few dresses, a top, and a pair of heels. Later that morning I went to two targets to see the collection in person. The first store only had one rack with two dresses and a skirt. The second Target I went to had most of the items including jewelry and shoes. I was pleased with the collection and that Parabal Gurung designed these pieces true to their high-end collection. You still have time to purchase the collection. There are plenty of items left in stores and online!
After a week that seemed to drag forever, I couldn’t be happier that the weekend is here! It’s time to relax, go to brunch with friends, and enjoy my favorite pastime, shopping of course (click here to shop my sample sale items). Have a great weekend!
1. Favorite Album Cover: Justin Timberlake “20/20 Experience”
The album title’s hidden meaning is “Music You Can See”, and who doesn’t love Justin Timberlake in a Tom Ford suit!
5. Favorite Quote:
I don’t always have time to style my long and sometimes frizzy hair. In the morning I’m usually running out of my apartment 10 minutes late to work. I prefer to wear my hair down and curled, but when there is no time there are a few hairstyles that are simple to conquer and will look like you spent hours primping.
Recently I’ve become a little obsessed with online shopping. You can get great deals and discounts on designer clothing that are not always available in stores. Of course the drawback is not being able to try on clothing before purchasing. Member’s only shopping sites have become my favorite! Many of the websites can be customized by your size, favorite brands, and are free.
1. Gilt.com – My favorite of all the sites! Has the best designers and the biggest discounts. Invite only website (leave a comment with your email address and I will send you an invitation).
This weekend I’m celebrating my sister’s birthday. A group of us are going to dinner at Cecconi’s, and planning to walk over to SUR Lounge for a couple of drinks. Sunday is the Super Bowl of course, and though I’m not a huge football fan I’m pretty excited to see the half time show and participate in Sunday Funday activities.
