Last Friday we celebrated my cousin’s upcoming wedding by throwing her a traditional Egyptian Henna bridal shower. All the women from our family attended the shower, and we supplied egyptian costumes for our guests to wear. The henna tattoo artist I hired was the biggest hit of the night! She did an amazing job with all the tattoos our guests requested. The backyard was decorated to fit the Arabian Nights theme with draped fabric and glass lanterns. I designed the cake and cupcakes to match at Crème De La Crème Bakery. The party was a success! We had so much fun eating, drinking, and belly dancing!
H&M’s next designer collaboration will be with Maison Martin Margiela! The launch of this collection will begin November 15th in select H&M stores across the US. I can’t wait to see what this collaboration brings. Maison Martin Margiela is a celebrity favorite and now the brand will be brought to the masses at an affordable price.

This weekend the weather was amazing! Now that we are in June it feels like summer is in full swing. I love the smell of the gardenia near my apartment, and the fact that the sun sets at almost 8pm. Over the weekend I went out to dinner on Friday evening, then woke up early Saturday morning to hike Runyon Canyon, and have breakfast with my sister at the Griddle Cafe (this place has the most amazing red velvet pancakes). Sunday was spent with my family and running errands to prepare for the week. I thought I would share a compilation of my favorite things to do during the summer.

Over the weekend I did a lot of shopping in Las Vegas. My favorite store was Topshop. I found unique jewelry, shoes and dresses. Not to mention the fun in store photo booth!
I can’t wait for the Los Angeles Topshop to open at the Grove by November 2012.
